Powered by a 450cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine, it delivers punchy, yet also smooth low-end and midrange torque, ensuring strong manageable acceleration across various terrains. The engine incorporates Honda’s tried-and-true Unicam four-valve cylinder head contributing to its powerful, durable, and compact design. A close-ratio five-speed transmission complements the engine, providing precise shifts and adaptability during slow, medium, and fast off-road rides.

Designed with off-road racers in mind, the CRF450RX features a lightweight aluminum frame that enhances handling and responsiveness. The suspension system includes a 49mm inverted Showa fork with adjustable rebound and compression damping, offering 12.2 inches of travel, and a Pro-Link Showa single shock at the rear with 12.3 inches of travel, ensuring stability over rough, treacherous terrain.

Additional off-road-specific components include an 18-inch rear wheel (allows for a taller sidewall rear tire), a 2.1-gallon fuel tank for extended range, factory-installed hand guards, and a handy aluminum sidestand. The bike also comes equipped with Honda Selectable Torque Control (HSTC), aka traction control.
