The newest colorway in the Shoei helmet line is the Marquez Black Ant. You might recall Marquez wearing this graphic on an X-Twelve model during his 2012 winter testing with HRC Honda just prior to his championship season. For 2014, Shoei has released the signature design on the RF-1200, a recently introduced full-face helmet that features significant change from its RF-1100 precursor. The RF-1200 has a smaller, more aerodynamic shell than the 1100 making it Shoei's lightest Snell-certified full-face model to date. The RF-1200 is said to have less wind noise without blocking out "informative sounds" of the road thanks to its Multi-Ply Matrix Aim+ shell design and dual-layer, multi-density liner materials. The RF-1200 is available in sizes ranging from XS to XXL and carries an MSRP of $498.99. The new Marquez Black Ant will have an MSRP of $626.99. Specs on the RF-1200 model can be found on the Shoei website, however the Black Ant graphic is not yet listed.
