2024 Aprilia Tuono V4

While the RSV4 sportbike series received a revised and more powerful engine along with a slew of updates in 2021, the Tuono V4 series also acquired most of the same upgrades except for the larger-displacement engine. Not to worry, as 175 hp at 11,350 rpm and 89 lb.-ft. of torque at 9,000 rpm mean you’re still getting serious go-power at your right wrist. Minor improvements to the valve train and exhaust extend the engine’s rev range another 300 rpm, and the new, more powerful Marelli 11MP ECU with six-axis IMU provides a more advanced APRC electronics suite. Fully adjustable Sachs suspension at both ends allows proper dial-in of chassis control (the Factory version gets Öhlins Smart EC 2.0 semi-active suspension) with the same updated swingarm fitted to the RSV4 series installed on the latest Tuonos.

Where the standard Tuono and Factory editions now diverge, however, is in their intended riding scenarios, and the ergonomic packages to accompany them. The standard Tuono is aimed at the sport-touring side of the market, while the Factory version remains targeted at serious sport riding on the street and track. To that end, the standard Tuono is fitted with taller windscreen, higher-set handlebar courtesy of bar risers, plus lower-set footpegs, grab handles, and a larger, more comfortable seat for the passenger. The Sachs suspension spring and damping rates are tailored more for a less frantic pace than the Factory, and the final drive gearing is taller to provide smoother acceleration and lower cruising rpm on the highway.

The 2024 Aprilia Tuono V4 1100 is available in Tarmac Grey or Torque Red liveries for $16,199. The up-spec Tuono V4 1100 Factory comes equipped with Öhlins Smart EC 2.0 semi-active suspension at both ends, forged aluminum wheels, Öhlins electronic adjustable steering damper, and is available in three color schemes: Ultra Gold, Time Attack (black/red), for $19,599, and Speed White (white w/red and black accents), for $20,099. Also available is the limited production Tuono V4 Factory SE-09 SBK 1100 that comes with carbon front fender and front brake caliper cooling intakes, a serial numbered fuel tank, and a replica livery of the 2009 WSBK Championship-winning RSV4 superbike ridden by Max Biaggi, for $19,999.
