Bell Helmets, an industry leader in helmet technology and innovation, today announced its road team ambassador roster ahead of the 2016 MotoAmerica season. The ambassadors will wear a combination of Bell’s all-new Pro Star and Custom-Fit Star Carbon helmets.

The 2016 Bell road team roster includes some of the top riders in their respective disciplines: Cameron Beaubier, Aaron Colton, William Dunlop and Josh Herrin among others. The team will not only use Bell helmets, but will also play a valuable role in the research and development of products through feedback, expertise and unique insights they provide through their experiences on the track.

“In road racing, the difference between success and failure is literally a matter of seconds, and our athletes simply can’t afford any level of distraction from the task at hand,” said Chris Sackett, Bell Helmets Vice President. “The innovative materials and design characteristics of the Pro Star are what allow these riders to remain completely focused in the most demanding situations, and for them, that makes all the difference.”

The all-new Bell Pro Star is a complete rethinking of what a race helmet should be, driven by the essential needs of the modern racer. Engineered to perform at the highest level, the 2016 Bell Pro Star features the progressive protection of the Flex Impact Liner, an expanded Panovision field of view and the most advanced carbon fiber composites available by TeXtreme. Further, it includes a Transitions shield that adapts to light conditions, a VIRUS CoolJade power mesh liner to reduce skin surface temperatures plus odor, and Magnefusion Cheek Pads for easy removal for washing or emergency responders. The Pro Star will be one of three purpose-built Star models consumers can choose from.

“The details simply can’t be taken for granted. A helmet’s weight, fit, aerodynamics and comfort take on a whole new level of importance when your charging at over 200 mph,” said Jake Gagne. “The all-new Pro Star not only exceeded my expectations, but new features like the expanded Panovision field of view and ultra-lightweight TeXtreme shell provide me with a legitimate advantage on the track.”

Custom-Fit Star Carbons are engineered from a high-tech process of digital mapping, and the use of a proprietary 3D-imaging program, which measures the unique contour of a rider's head. The process matches the interior of the helmet to the rider's exact specifications, optimizing stability and increasing overall comfort. For more information on the helmet visit bellhelmets.com.
