2025 Vespa GTS 310

A new 310cc engine makes the GTS more powerful and responsive than ever.

Using the new 310cc engine from the Piaggio MP3 lineup makes the GTS 310 the most powerful scooter in Vespa’s catalog.Vespa

Overview

With Piaggio recently unveiling the MP3 310 powered by a new 310cc HPE engine, it was a foregone conclusion that the liquid-cooled four-valve powerplant would soon end up in the Vespa lineup. That assumption has quickly come to pass with Vespa’s release of the new 2025 GTS 310. The SOHC fuel-injected engine gets its extra 32cc displacement over the old 278cc unit via an increase in stroke to 70.1mm from 63mm (bore remains unchanged at 75mm). Power increases slightly to 25 hp at 6,500 rpm while torque now peaks 21.3 lb.-ft. at 5,250 rpm. A new multi-jet fuel injector achieves better fuel atomization, and other tweaks such as an inclined cylinder position, offset cylinder/piston for reduced vibration and noise, heavier flywheel, and new crankcase design for less belt noise and reduced internal friction, all result in an engine that is not only more efficient but also easily passes the latest Euro 5+ standards.

The CVT transmission has also been revised to handle the extra power. A new, more efficient belt, stiffer clutch drum, and a new cover with sound-proofing material all contribute to lower fuel consumption, improved smoothness at low speeds, and less engine noise. The starting system has also been refined, with a decoupled starter gear, improved starter motor, and optimized gear design.

The GTS 310 comes in three versions, the standard model, the Super, and the Supersport, with the differences mostly in color schemes; the standard is available in Beige Avvolgente, Nero Convinto, and Verde Amabile. The Super has chrome trim enhancements, and is available in Rosso Coraggioso, Nero Convinto, and Bianco Innocente. The Supersport has additional color trim with faux-carbon inserts and gloss black sections over matte or glossy color combinations of Verde Ambizioso (matte), Nero Convinto (matte), Blu Eclettico (gloss), Grigio Travolgente (matte), or Bianco Innocente (gloss).
