Do you like carbon fiber, limited-edition motorcycles, and Grand Prix racing? If you answered yes to any of those three terms, then do we have a treat for you. Feast your eyes upon the limited-edition Triumph Daytona Moto2 765. Conceptually based on the next generation of Moto2 spec bikes, the Daytona Moto2 765 offers, as Triumph describes it, "the closest you can get to a genuine Moto2 factory ride for the road." In fact, this is the first motorcycle that Dorna Sports has ever allowed to officially run the Moto2 logo.

What you are looking at here is the lightest, most agile, and most powerful Daytona that Triumph has ever built. It boasts 128 hp at 12,250 rpm and 59 pound-feet of torque at 9,750 rpm from the howling three-cylinder engine. The sweet, distinctive sound of the Daytona’s triple is accentuated through the use of an Arrow titanium race can that looks like it would be more at home on the track than the street (but we’ll let Triumph deal with that). The entire bike is wrapped in carbon fiber bodywork and is oozing top-shelf components from every nook and cranny. It even has a subtle Union Jack graphic laid across each side of the sexy carbon fairing and fuel tank.
Grab your bib, because there's more. The chassis is the latest evolution of the Supersport championship-winning Daytona frame that will be the basis for the Moto2 development program this bike is promoting. It is lighter than any previous Daytona chassis and it features premium Öhlins suspension components on both ends. Brembo supplies it all-new radial-mount Stylema four-piston calipers that clamp down on a pair of massive rotors which are attached to a set of six-spoke wheels shod with Pirelli Supercorsa SP rubber. No angles have been cut as the Brembo master cylinder and hydraulic clutch are destined to complement the endless array of farkle sprinkled generously throughout this motorcycle.
A close inspection of the images will reveal a level of refinement that will hopefully make its way to every Triumph Daytona motorcycle built in the future. The clean lines, well-integrated hardware, and tidy components have us chomping at the bit to swing a leg over this version of the motorcycle we have enjoyed for a long time.
Triumph has incorporated a full-color TFT dashboard replete with official co-branded Moto2 start-up screen that gives you full control of the various electronic rider-assist technology including ABS and five separate riding modes including the unadulterated Track mode. The Moto2 765 comes with a Triumph Shift Assist quickshifter as well.
There will be a limited run of individually numbered motorcycles, 765 of them will be headed to the United States and Canada while another batch of 765 will be offered in Europe, Asia, and the rest of the world. The billet-machined aluminum top clamp will display the laser-etched edition number of each bike. If you are interested in getting your grubby little hands on one of these ultra-trick Triumph Daytona Moto2 765 motorcycles, then get your butt down to your local Triumph dealer and make a deposit because they are going to go quick.
