Ducati has announced that three of its new electric bicycles will be available to US customers in 2021. The E-Scrambler and MIG-S will be available in dealerships starting this month while the new TK-01RR enduro bike will be ready to purchase starting February 2021.
“The introduction of these ebikes continues the Ducati tradition of creating exhilarating two-wheeled experiences and expands our product range into a growing segment,” said Jason Chinnock, chief executive officer of Ducati North America, in a company press release. “In addition to highlighting the connection between the world of cycling and the training regime of motorcycle racers the world over, including many of those on the Ducati Corse team, we’re looking forward to seeing our existing clients and those new to Ducati enjoy these new ebikes, which are also part of a growing recreational segment.”
The E-Scrambler is the most road-oriented of the three offerings, and features a Shimano STEPS E7000 motor and 504Wh Shimano battery. It’s also packing a luggage rack that can carry side bags as well as front and rear lights. It will start at $3,995 in a yellow and black colorway. A dark Matte Black version will be available in spring 2021.
The MIG-S is an all-round mountain bike with a Shimano STEPS E8000 motor and 504Wh Shimano battery. A Marzocchi Bomber Z2 fork and Fox Float TPS rear shock handle suspension duties and a SRAM SX unit provides 12 speeds. It’s rocking a 6061-T4 and -T6 alloy frame, and Thok e-plus rims. The MIG-S will start at $5,295.
And finally, the TK-01RR (which we look at in detail in this preview) will price at $7,995.
