2021 Kawasaki Ninja H2R, H2, and H2 SX SE+ First Look

The Kawasaki Ninja H2R, H2, and H2 SX SE+ return for the 2021 model year.

Kawasaki has released information on a number of motorcycles slated for its 2021 lineup, with bikes returning in all segments. This announcement comprises the bikes that get minimal upgrades (if any at all beyond new color schemes) for the new model year. We expect more substantive announcements to trickle in over the next few months, so keep an eye out for the latest information on what’s to come right here.

The Ninja H2 and H2 Carbon will price at $29,500 and $33,000, respectively.Kawasaki

In this preview, we take a look at Kawasaki’s Hypersport line, made up of its beastly Ninja H2 machines. We’ll offer a look at the sportbikes, standards, cruisers, and touring rigs in subsequent articles.

Kawasaki Ninja H2R: $55,000

Left to Right: The Mirror Coated Matte Spark Black colorway is definitely sharp; Even though there are no major changes to the H2R, it will be a sought-after item in 2021.Kawasaki

The H2R is Kawasaki’s track-only H2, and it will be available in a Mirror Coated Matte Spark Black colorway in 2021 (the same as the 2020 model). There are no notable updates to the machine for the coming year, but the supercharged 998cc rocket, with its lightweight trellis frame, carbon fiber bodywork, and race-spec suspension and brakes means this bike will remain an aspirational machine for many (including me) in 2021.

The Kawasaki Ninja H2 and its upscale Carbon sibling are also back for another year of throttle-ripping fun. The H2 and Carbon are street-legal, and both boast similar chassis and engine elements as the race-ready H2R. Both will roll on Bridgestone RS11 tires, and both feature Bluetooth Smartphone Connectivity allowing riders to tap into all sorts of ride metrics through the Rideology app. Both will be dressed in Mirror Coated Spark Black colorways, though the Carbon edition has raw carbon fiber bodywork and a special insignia.

Kawasaki Ninja H2 SX SE+: $25,500

Left to Right:The touring-ready Ninja H2 SX SE+ is also unchanged for 2021; This long-range H2 is more comfortable and comes with more touring-friendly amenities.Kawasaki

The most modestly priced H2 returns as well, ready for spirited long-range duty. The more relaxed SX SE+ model is packing some creature comforts like electronic cruise control, Kawasaki Corner Management, KIBS antilock brakes, and a more comfortable, upright riding position. That’s in addition to the standard-issue items like quickshifter, launch control, ride modes, and Bluetooth compatibility. This version of the H2 will come in an Emerald Blazed Green/Matte Diablo Black/Metallic Graphite Grey colorway.
