“Whether it was a father, mother, uncle, or family friend, most motorcyclists have fond memories of the person who introduced them to riding, and that’s the spirit behind the eFTR Jr.,” said Ross Clifford, vice president of Parts, Garments, and Accessories at Indian Motorcycle in a company press release. “We wanted our first youth offering to be electric to provide a safe, simplistic, and clean form of motorcycling for children, all wrapped up in the signature look of the FTR750. The eFTR Jr. can kickstart a lifetime of riding memories for the whole family.”

The eFTR was developed with help from Razor USA, utilizing Razor’s powertrain. It includes a 36-volt battery, twist grip throttle, and has two ride modes. Low mode is for kids as young as 8 years old and has a top speed of 10 mph and a 140-minute run time. High mode is intended for kids 13 years and older and boasts a top speed of 15 mph and a 65-minute run time.

The battery and motor are housed within a steel frame that’s suspended on a standard fork out front and single shock at the back. Seat height is 23.5 inches and a hand-operated dual brake disc system brings the little ripper to a stop.
