2021 Ducati Scrambler 1100 Dark Pro and Nightshift Preview

The Land of Joy will look a little different in 2021.

Earlier this year, Ducati unveiled its plan to develop the Scrambler 1100 PRO, complete with revised frame and subframe, new exhaust, and design elements gleaned from art students at ArtCenter College of Design in Pasadena, California. With Ducati’s latest announcement of the Scrambler 1100 Dark PRO, we can look forward to an 1100 line that is three bikes strong in 2021. Additionally, the Scrambler 800 lineup will get some fresh-looking machines, with the introduction of the Scrambler Nightshift as well as new livery treatments for the Desert Sled and Icon.

The Scrambler 1100 Dark PRO is powered by Ducat’s 1,079cc desmodromic L-twin, offering 86 hp at 7,500 rpm and 65 pound-feet of torque at 4,750 rpm. Power delivery is managed through three different ride modes. Ride by wire and traction control are standard as well.

It’s also sporting a Dark Stealth livery, with the black trellis frame blending with the black tank and dual seat. Brushed aluminum panels provide some visual interest while also complementing the brushed aluminum exhaust canisters at the back.

The Scrambler 1100 Dark PRO will start at $12,495 and is considered the entry point to the 1100 lineup.

2021 Ducati Scrambler Nightshift

The Nightshift borrows its handlebars from the 1100 PRO and its mirrors from the Cafe Racer.Ducati

Ducati is offering another dark-liveried Scrambler in the new Nightshift, an almost totally blacked-out (technically called Aviator Gray) of the 803cc platform that comprises the bulk of the Scrambler line.

Built around the popular 803cc L-twin platform, the Nightshift fits into the Scrambler line seamlessly.Ducati

Styling is meant to appeal to sophisticated urban riders, and the ride position is somewhat aggressive thanks to the wide, straight bars borrowed from the 1100 Sport PRO. It also repurposes the rearview mirrors of the Cafe Racer. It’s also got a bit of a tracker vibe, thanks to spoked wheels shod in Pirelli MT 60 tires and the flat dual seat.

The Scrambler Nightshift will carry an MSRP of $10,995.
