It’s hard to conceive of something more quintessentially Italian than Ducati building a motorcycle to celebrate the birth of a special-edition Lamborghini. You couldn’t get closer if you wrapped polpette di pesci in carpaccio and washed it down with a nice nebbiolo. So it’s safe to say the 2021 Ducati Diavel 1260 Lamborghini is about as Apennine as it gets.
The 2021 Ducati Diavel 1260 Lamborghini will be limited to just 630 units, and will wear a special set of forged wheels, an exclusive greenish-gold livery, acres of carbon fiber, and “63” decals. All of those touches are nods to the 2020 Lamborghini Sián FKP 37, an 802 hp electrified monster based on the Lamborghini Aventador. The “63” decals on the Diavel’s flanks refer to the number of Siáns they’re building and the year Lambo was founded. And if the color, wheels and decal references aren’t enough, Ducati will sell you a three-quarter helmet painted to match the bike.
Under all those pretty styling touches lies Ducati’s 1,260cc Testastretta L-twin, which is said to be good for 162 hp. It also packs Öhlins fully adjustable suspension at both ends, a single-sided swingarm shows off the Lamborghini edition-exclusive forged wheel, and big Brembo Monoblocks bring the party to a stop.
To keep you from getting overzealous, the Diavel is decked with Cornering ABS EVO, Ducati Traction Control EVO, Ducati Wheelie Control EVO, Ducati Power Launch EVO, and cruise control.
Getting your hands on one of the 630 Diavel 1260 Lamborghinis won’t be a simple task, and Bologna will ask that you part with $31,995 in the United States or $34,990 in Canada for the honor. The bikes will hit the US in January and Canada in March.
