2021 Can-Am Spyder RT Sea-to-Sky First Look Preview

A more exclusive top-of-the-line Spyder from Can-Am

The Can-Am Spyder RT Sea-to-Sky will price at $29,799.BRP

For the 2020 model year, BRP released the luxurious Spyder RT Limited, a then top-of-the-line touring three-wheel motorcycle with all the cozy perks you’d want to make long-range travel convenient and comfortable. For 2021, there will be an even more decked option in the Spyder RT Sea-to-Sky.

The name itself is a nod to the machine’s touring prowess, an homage to the Sea to Sky Highway that runs from Vancouver northeast into the depths of British Columbia.

Major enhancements include six-spoke titanium-color wheels, a Highland Green colorway with color-matched side bags and top case, along with heated seats for driver and passenger that also make use of adaptive foam to relieve pressure points on longer rides. Plus there’s exclusive Sea-to-Sky badging throughout. It will price $2,500 over the Spyder RT Limited at $29,799.

As for the rest of the machine, it’s powered by a Rotax 1,330cc ACE triple engine which provides 115 hp at 7,250 rpm and 96 pound-feet of torque at 5,000 rpm. Power is delivered via a semi-automatic six-speed transmission. Sachs Big-Bore shocks at the front provide 6.9 inches of travel, while a Sachs shock out back has self-leveling air preload adjustment and 6 inches of travel. Dual 270mm discs and Brembo four-piston fixed calipers work with a single 270mm disc/single-piston caliper setup out back to bring the machine to a stop.

This bike is made for extended rides. It’s got 47 gallons of storage capacity and can tow up to 400 pounds of cargo as well. It’s got a 7-gallon fuel tank along with stability control, traction control, ABS, power steering, hill-hold control, and an anti-theft system.

Long-range rides are even more comfortable thanks to adjustable passenger footboards, electronic cruise control, adjustable electric windshield, heated grips for driver and passenger, and, of course, the new adaptive foam seats with lumbar support.

The 7.8-inch LCD color display provides all the basic information you’d need, along with info related to the BRP Premium Audio system and BRP Connect smartphone app.

If you want to travel in comfort and style, the Can-Am Spyder RT Sea-to-Sky will definitely deliver.
