Alongside news of updates to its RSV4, Aprilia has also announced changes to its Tuono V4 and Tuono V4 Factory for 2021. They will be available in the US starting at the end of June, with the Tuono V4 pricing at $15,999 and the Factory edition pricing at $19,499.

Many of the updates implemented on the RSV4 will be found on the Tuono, however, the bump in engine displacement is not one of them. The Tuono keeps its 1,077 V-4 mill, though it does come with a new exhaust system that ensures Euro 5 emissions compliance.

There’s a new swingarm with a lower brace, derived from the units used in MotoGP. The ergonomics are improved as well, with a raised handlebar and taller top fairing. The passenger area is updated with a larger saddle and lower passenger footpegs. The overall look is revised to better resemble the aesthetic established by the RS 660, including the use of a new double fairing.

Both the standard and Factory editions will feature a larger color TFT instrument panel and a new 11MP ECU and six-axis IMU. The ride-by-wire and APRC systems are optimized as well. Each bike will also feature six riding modes, three dedicated for track use and three calibrated for street rides.

The LED headlight is new as well, with DRL lights that have a “bending” function to help improve visibility through corners.

Additional details of the new-and-improved Tuono will be released in the coming weeks. The Tuono V4 will be available in Tarmac Grey and Glacier White colorways, while the Factory will come in Aprilia Black. The Factory will also pack Öhlins Smart EC 2.0 semi-active suspension standard.
