If you’re serious about long-range adventure rides that include plenty of off-roading, then the 2020 Husqvarna 701 Enduro LR is the bike for you.
It’s essentially a 701 Enduro with an additional 3.2 gallons of fuel capacity. That means you’ll have a total of 6.6 gallons to play with, allowing you to go more than 300 miles between fill-ups, according to Husqvarna. The fuel is housed in two tanks; a 3.2-gallon front tank and a 3.4-gallon rear subframe-integrated tank.

The platform is impressive in a number of other ways as well. The 692.7cc single provides a claimed 74 hp at 8,000 rpm and 54 pound-feet of torque at 6,500 rpm. Ride by wire offers smooth and consistent power delivery, and riders can choose between two ride modes that adjust throttle response and traction control settings. Mode 1 is for road riding, with a more sporty throttle and cornering traction control enabled. Mode 2 is more dialed for off-road riding, providing a smoother throttle response and allowing wheel slip to occur. Easy Shift technology allows you to quickly and seamlessly move up and down the six-speed gearbox.

The powerplant is housed within a chromium-molybdenum steel trellis frame. Fully adjustable WP suspension provides 9.8 inches travel front and rear, and Brembo hardware is equipped to handle braking duties. Two-channel Bosch 9.1 MP ABS has cornering functionality and can be disengaged when desired.
