2020 Triumph Bonneville Speedmaster

Ride two-up or solo? You decide.

2020 Triumph Bonneville SpeedmasterTriumph

The Triumph Speedmaster is a cruiser that pulls heavily from its fellow Bonneville brothers: the 1,200cc parallel twin taken from the Bonneville T120 to the Bonneville Bobber’s classic ride-alone style—however, the Speedmaster provides some solo/two-up versatility with the easily removable passenger seat.

Designed with classic Bonneville styling as seen in the fork gaiters, spoked rims, and Bonneville-shaped 3.2-gallon fuel tank, the Speedmaster is also stocked with premium components like Brembo brakes, ABS, traction control, and riding modes. The Speedmaster is, as Triumph says, “a Bonneville with more classic British custom laid-back style and an even higher level of specification.”

2020 Triumph Bonneville Speedmaster Reviews, Comparisons, And Competition

As 2018 brought “Triumph’s version of the perfect cruiser,” we deduced: “Perhaps the simplest way to think about the new [for 2018] Speedmaster is that it’s a more practical and versatile version of the Triumph Bonneville Bobber, with two-up seating and a larger fuel tank. The changes go further than that, but let’s start with what’s common.”

After we rode the cruiser, we found that “For a small jump in the price tag, the Speedmaster takes the niche, solo city-jammer/cruiser hybrid that is the Bobber and turns it into a more traditional cruiser capable of longer miles. The ride is more effortless and casually enjoyable, but you can easily turn it up and get that rebel yell back if you want it.”

Triumph Bonneville Speedmaster Updates For 2020

2018 saw updates to the Speedmaster, but none were announced for 2020. The vintage-looking cruiser comes in Jet Black, Fusion White/Phantom Black with a hand-painted coachline, and Cobalt Blue/Jet Black at a starting MSRP of $13,150.
