The Suzuki V-Strom 650 is a middleweight sport touring bike with an upright riding posture. It was first introduced in 2004, but as of 2017 is on its third iteration.
The V-Strom 650 is powered by a retuned version of the 645cc 90-degree V-Twin engine from Suzuki’s SV650. It features a windscreen, handguards, and an adventure-style beak, and can be fit with optional luggage as an accessory.
This latest update brings about all new styling, new exhaust system, new EFI and intake updates, and a new instrument panel.
The V-Strom 650 is one of the most universal motorcycles, and is beloved amongst riders because of it. A search across various sites shows it classified as an adventure bike, dual sport, sport enduro tourer, commuter, and entry-level bike; which shows you just how many different jobs the “Wee-Strom” can do.
The Suzuki V-Strom 650 has a base MSRP of $8,799 and is available in only Pearl Glacier White.
“The end result is a big twin that’s easy to love, and is ideal for a long term adventurous relationship. Suzuki points out that there’s a documented case of a V-Strom 1000 owner who has logged more than 400,000 miles, the two-wheeled equivalent of a successful 50-year marriage.” Barry Hathaway - Contributor, Cycle World Magazine
