The BMW S1000RR is powered by a liquid-cooled 999cc four-stroke, four-cylinder inline-4 DOHC engine, kicking out 199 hp at 13,500 rpm, with a max torque of 83 lb-ft at 10,500 rpm. Max speed is over 125 mph, relying on a constant-mesh 6-speed gearbox with straight-cut gears and a mechanically-operated multi-plate wet slipper clutch with chain drive.

Additional features include optional Gear Shift Assist Pro (reducing load change impact on the rear wheel), HP aluminum forged 17-in wheels, ABS, aluminum bridge-type frame with load-bearing engine, 46mm upside-down telescopic fork with adjustable preload/compressions/rebound, two-sided aluminum swingarm, dual floating 320mm front disc brakes with four-piston fixed calipers, 21.1-in seat height, 459-lb wet weight, and a 4.6-gallon tank.

The BMW S1000RR is priced at $15,995, and comes in Granite Grey Metallic, Light White/Lupin Blue Metallic/Racing Red or Racing Red/Light White.
