Last year, Johann Zarco took the Moto2 Championship, making it his second claim of victory. Now, to commemorate this achievement, Shark Helmets is offering a numbered run of the Limited Edition Race-R PRO Carbon helmets that replicate the World Champion's 2016 helmet design.

With a production run of only 1,500 units this is a helmet that would be great for collectors and fans when it hits shelves in Spring 2017, just in time for the Grand Prix set for this weekend in Austin, Texas.

This design features visible carbon fiber, making the Shark Race-R PRO Carbon Zarco replica both stylish and safe. Developed in conjunction with Shark Helmets riders, including Johann Zarco himself, this helmet is loaded with features designed to meet the demands of top level racing competition like lightness, stability, comfort, and ventilation.

In 2016, Johann Zarco became the first two-time Moto2 World Champion and the first French rider to ever take two World Championships. He is currently embarking on his maiden season in the MotoGP premier class, riding for the Yamaha Tech 3 team.

Features of the Race-R PRO Carbon Helmet:

The Race-R PRO Carbon model was developed to rely on CFD technology (featuring computational fluid simulations) while also featuring a carbon belt. This simulation of aerodynamic performance adds the attributes of optimal ventilation and penetration through air and earned five stars in the SHARP crash test.

The Race-R PRO features a double blade spoiler to aid high speed aerodynamic force. Clear visibility is achieved thanks to the optical class one visor with variable density—the visor is 2.8mm around the edges and 4.25mm in the center—which offers great optical quality.

The visor has a patented four anchor point visor safety lock and is treated with an anti-scratch treatment outside and an anti-fog treatment inside. It fastens securely using a double D-ring strap and tucks away using a magnet. The helmet features a quick release visor system and the interior is removable and washable.
