Yamaha’s MT-10 naked bike is a good fit for sport-oriented riders who want to go fast with added comfort versus a harder-edge superbike like the YZF-R1. Last overhauled for the 2022 model year (read the 2022 Yamaha MT-10 Review, Is Yamaha’s 2022 MT-10 the Best Naked Bike in its Class?, and Santa Claus Rides the 2022 Yamaha MT-10 SP reviews). Here are the top five things we like about riding Yamaha’s 2023 MT-10 at the racetrack.
- We love how comfortable you can be at the racetrack with its upright handlebar.
- This YZF-R1 crossplane inline-four engine is good for right around 140 hp. It is really easy to ride and it has a sound and character like no other bike made today besides the R1.
- The MT-10 has an advanced electronics package just like Yamaha’s YZF-R1. We have ABS; adjustable traction control, slide control, unit control, engine-brake control; and it’s super easy to adjust via this multi-wheel switch on the handlebar.
- This electronic quickshifter makes for superfast upshifts and downshifts without having to use the clutch or blip the throttle.
- The suspension and brakes on this bike are plenty capable for track use. It makes for a very easy and fun riding naked bike.
We’ll see you in the next episode.
