The 2025 Royal Enfield Bear 650 is a scrambler-style motorcycle inspired by the historic Big Bear desert race of the ‘50s and ‘60s in Southern California—a race won by young gun Eddie Mulder in 1960, who ended up a successful desert racer and Hollywood stuntman for Clint Eastwood. This streetbike is based off the Anglo-Indian INT 650 that was released a few years ago. The Bear version is equipped with a reinforced tubular-steel double-cradle frame and a host of other components designed for the rigors of general on and off-road riding. Here’s everything you need to know about the Royal Enfield’s 2025 Bear 650 scrambler.
The Bear 650 is powered by an air-cooled 648cc parallel-twin engine with a SOHC design and an eight-valve cylinder head. The engine is good for 41 hp and 37 lb.-ft. of torque to the business end of that MRF 17-inch rear wheel. A cable-actuated clutch, six-speed gearbox, and chain final drive complement the powertrain.
The engine drinks from a 3.6-gallon fuel tank and you’ll have to stay tuned for the mileage figures (expect in the mid-40s). With a full tank of fuel this bike weighs in at 476 pounds. It rolls on spoked aluminum wheels, 19-inch front, 17-inch rear, shod with Indian-spec MRF tires. It also employs dual hydraulic disc brakes. The Bear 650 also includes full LED lighting.
Keeping tabs on everything is a color digital instrument pod. It also includes a USB-C charging port and a button so you can manually disable rear ABS, if desired. You can also pair the vehicle to your iOS- or Android-powered smartphone with Royal Enfield’s app for turn-by-turn direction on the display. This motorcycle arrives at Royal Enfield dealerships in 2025 and it carries a retail price of $6,849. It has a three-year warranty, and is designed in England but manufactuered in India.
