The 2025 Honda CRF250RWE (Works Edition) is a premium 250cc motocross bike designed for riders seeking a race-ready Japanese dirt bike from the factory. It builds upon Big Red’s updated-for-2025 CRF250R platform with a host of worthy upgrades that most riders want on their bikes. These mods are aimed at enhancing performance and elevating durability. Here’s everything you need to know about Honda’s all-new 2025 CRF250R Works Edition.
This particular model has a full Yoshimura RS-12 titanium exhaust. The 249cc liquid-cooled DOHC four-valve single also benefits from a factory hand-ported cylinder head and this cover that signifies the “Works Edition.” It puts power back to that 19-inch rear wheel via hydraulic clutch and a five-speed transmission. Expect right around 40 hp at the business end of the (taller) 110-series Dunlop Geomax MX33 tire.
This engine drinks from a 1.7-gallon titanium fuel tank and with a full tank of gas, weighs in at 236 pounds. It rolls on a 21-inch front and 19-inch rear wheel combo with up-spec D.I.D Dirtstar LT-X wheels and a heavy-duty D.I.D DM2 final-drive chain. The engine also breathes from an easy-to-service Twin Air air filter. Upfront it employs a 49mm Showa fork with the superslick Kashima coating. The fork lugs and triple clamps are blacked out, and the fork uses toolless-style compression adjusters. Out back we have a linkage-equipped Showa shock with a wider and super-slippery shock shaft. We also have a nice barrel adjuster for high- and low-speed compression and rebound damping as well as spring preload.
Other changes for this works edition include Renthal dual-compound Kevlar grips. We also have a Throttle Jockey seat and these cool graphics. Like all 250R Hondas, this machine comes with electric start. It also comes with adjustable engine throttle modes, adjustable traction control, and launch control. This bike retails for $10,599, only a $2,300 upcharge versus the base CRF250R. This bike is made in Kumamoto, Japan and comes with no warranty (due to its competition specification.)
