This model was originally introduced for the 2021 model year. It goes up against Harley-Davidson’s Heritage Classic. It’s powered by BMW’s 1,802cc boxer twin engine. It’s good for 91 hp and upwards of a 100 lb.-ft. torque from the business end of that 16-inch rear wheel.
The powertrain employs a six-speed transmission, hydraulically actuated dry clutch, and a beautiful mechanical drive shaft that puts power back to the 16 x 5-inch rear wheel. The engine drinks from a 4.2-gallon fuel tank and delivers 34 mpg. This motorcycle weighs 805 pounds fully fueled and offers nearly five inches of suspension travel up front and 3.5 inches of suspension travel at the rear.
It differs from the traditional R 18 with the use of this oversize windshield and these nice leather soft bags which you can put your gear in. You can open and close them, but you cannot lock them. This vehicle retails for $21,455 with its up-spec option 719 Galaxy Dust Metallic Titan Silver 2 metallic paint job. It carries a three-year warranty and is built in Germany.
