Everything You Need to Know - 2025 Aprilia RS 457 Review

Meet Aprilia’s all-new RS 457 sportbike in this review.

Aprilia finally joins the small-displacement sportbike segment with its racy RS 457.Adam Waheed

The Aprilia RS 457 ($6,799) is a fresh edition to Aprilia’s sportbike lineup for 2025. Although priced with beginner riders in mind, this bike is anything but “entry-level.” Designed with above-average components and aesthetically pleasing big-bike-like styling, the RS 457 appeals to all riders seeking a blend of performance and agility. With its sleek, aggressive styling inspired by the brand’s larger sport models like the RS 660, the RS 457 features a punchy liquid-cooled parallel-twin engine. Its chassis is surprisingly rigid for a streetbike (in a good way), featuring an aluminum twin-spar frame and inverted fork which affords firm handling—especially for a bike in this class. Here is everything you need to know about the 2025 RS 457.

This is an all-new motorcycle from Aprilia out of Noale, Italy, for the 2025 model year. It’s powered by Aprilia’s 457cc parallel-twin engine, water-cooled dual-valve head camshafts, and eight-valve cylinder head. It also benefits from an uneven firing order. This engine puts out 47 hp to that 17-inch rear wheel. It has a six-speed transmission and a cable-actuated clutch with slipper function.

The engine drinks from a 3.4-gallon fuel tank and delivers 48 mpg. With a full tank of gas, this motorcycle weighs in at 385 pounds. It rolls on 17-inch cast aluminum wheels with an inverted fork and a direct-mount shock that mounts between the swingarm and the frame. We have nearly five inches of suspension travel up front and just over five in the rear.

This motorcycle has a wide-body silhouette just like the RSV4, and it also has RSV4 and RS 660–like styling with these awesome LED insert lights and full LED lighting. This streetbike comes with an electronics package too. We have adjustable engine power modes, and we have traction control, which you can manually disable.

Double-disc hydraulic brakes with a radial-mount caliper and a stainless steel brake line with fixed, always-on ABS. In America, this vehicle retails for $6,799 without accessories, and it’s built in India (in a Piaggio Group factory) and carries a two-year warranty.
