RECALL NEWS: Ducati Recalls Late-Model Multistrada 1200/1200S For Defective Sidestand

THE RECALL: Ducati North America (Ducati) is recalling certain model year 2015-2016 Multistrada 1200 and 1200 S motorcycles manufactured from December 1, 2014, to June 11, 2015. In the affected motorcycles, the sidestand may break due to an incorrect length of the side-stand support tube.

WHAT COULD HAPPEN: f the side-stand breaks, the motorcyle would fall over, increasing the risk of injury to the rider and/or the passenger.

THE FIX: Ducati will notify owners, and dealers will replace the side-stand support tubes, as necessary, free of charge. The recall is expected to begin November 16, 2015. Owners may contact Ducati customer service at 1-800-231-6696. The recall number for this recall is RCL-15-003.
