XDL CHAMPIONSHIP SERIES PARTNERS WITH QUEEN MARY TO BRING MOTORCYCLE MADNESS TO LONG BEACH

**Los Angeles, CA **(June 28, 2012)**** -- After a three year absence, the XDL Championship Series is returning to the location that made it famous in the early days: the Queen Mary in Long Beach. For 2012 XDL will be utilizing a totally new and integrated venue that encompasses the Queen Mary Seawalk, a competition surface right next to the ship, and the first-ever use of the Queen Mary Walkway, formerly known as the "T," as a VIP hospitality lounge. Along with this new set up comes a fresh event concept called Motorcycle Madness that packages a host of content into one event. Queen Mary Presents Motorcycle Madness Long Beach on August 3 & 4, 2012 will include XDL Round 2, Trials demos by the SoCal Trials Association, motorcycle displays by Del Amo Motorsports and Irv Seaver BMW, as well as a kid's zone, XDL Photo Zone, music and plenty of food & drink and promises to be an action-packed, fun time for motorcyclists and families alike. New for 2012, XDL has created the XDL Open House on August 2, 2012, that allows fans to come by the venue for free, grab a drink, grab a bite and hang out and watch the athletes practice for the competition. Fans can download a free voucher to the XDL Open House at the XDL web site or through the XDL Facebook fan page. Tickets for Friday and Saturday are available through the Queen Mary website. "We initially didn't have plans to return to the Queen Mary," stated XDL series founder Randy Grube. "But in November of last year I received a call from John Adamson, letting me know that XDL was on a list of events the Queen Mary would like to invite back, so I went on a site visit. I met Steve Sheldon, the Director of Entertainment, and between him being so open-minded about everything, and the potential of the new venue, I was hooked. Six months later we've put enough pieces in place to where I think this will be a real blockbuster event for us."
