MEDINA, MN (Feb. 29, 2012) – Victory Motorcycles is looking forward to the busiest Daytona Bike Week in company history.
“Daytona Bike Week is of course the ceremonial start of the riding season and every year we ramp up the size and scale of our Bike Week activities,” said Josh Fulkerson, Victory Motorcycles Marketing Manager. “With an increased number of Victory Riders and dealers taking part, the 2012 event will be our biggest Bike Week ever.”
The Victory Bike Week schedule includes a full week of complimentary demo rides at the Daytona Int’l. Speedway, March 10-17. The exciting new Victory Judge will be available for demo rides, along with the complete 2012 lineup, including the new Hard-Ball, the class-leading Cross Country Tour and the value-priced Vegas 8-Ball models. A camera crew will shoot riding photos of demo riders on the road, with those photos available for downloading so riders can have a free souvenir of their Victory at Daytona experience.
Victory’s goal is to fill every demo bike on every ride because for each demo ride taken, Victory will donate $1 to Wounded Warrior Project.
Victory Bike Night at Dirty Harry’s Bar on Main Street is Tuesday, March 13. The party kicks into high gear at 9:30 p.m., when Big Engine takes the stage. All riders are invited to attend what will surely be one of the biggest parties of the week.
The Third Annual Victory Custom Bike Show will be held at Volusia Motorsports, a Victory dealership in New Smyrna Beach, on Wednesday, March 14. Prizes will be awarded in several classes. Registration starts at 2 p.m. and judging takes place at 3 p.m., making it a fast and fun event.
Victory will participate in the Biker Fusion VIP event Thursday, March 15 starting at 7 pm at the Dog House Bar and Grill on Daytona’s Main Street for an event that benefits Soldiers Angels. Fans of R. Lee Ermey, the Marine and actor better known as “The Gunny,” can catch him at that event, where Victory Motorcycles will present him with a customized motorcycle especially for riding at Daytona and beyond. A $25 donation to Soldiers Angels at the door gets the public in to an event that features many motorcycle celebrities including the Ness family, Dave Perewitz, Paul Yaffe, and an exclusive charity auction.
Ermey’s fans can also meet him at the Victory demo site on Friday, March 16, from 8-10 a.m. where Gunny will trade a special gift and autographed card for donations to the Wounded Warrior Project. “No excuses will be tolerated,” he barked. “I love to meet Victory Riders and fans of freedom and motorcycles, but even if you only have two dimes to rub together, one should be dropped in the donation box for Wounded Warrior Project!”
On Friday, March 16, Victory Riders will meet at Volusia Motorsports for the start of the Victory Group Ride led by Zach Ness on "Ness Café," his custom Victory Judge. The dealership will have refreshments to help riders fire up for a fun group ride, and it's kickstands up at 10 a.m. Zach's ride will end in Halifax at the Victory Owners Luncheon, which will feature appearances by three generations of Ness, as Cory and Arlen Ness join Zach on the scene. The lunch is free to Victory Riders, but seating is limited so riders need to register in advance online at: www.VictoryAtDaytona.com.
Victory Riders at the luncheon will have another chance to meet “The Gunny,” who expects motorcycles and boots to be gleaming with spit & polish. He’ll address the crowd at lunch, and the Victory staff urges riders to show up with full gas tanks since you never know what mission The Gunny may have in store after lunch!
Details, maps, and a link to registration for the owners' luncheon are available at www.VictoryAtDaytona.com.
