Did you know that flat-track racing is the oldest two-wheel motorsport? It’s also one of the most exciting to watch, especially in person, with racers spinning and sliding their racebikes around lightly groomed dirt tracks. Bars bang, crashes happen, all in the pursuit of crossing the finish line first. Here are the top five reasons you need to attend a 2024 AFT American Flat Track Racing round this summer.

First, of course, is the bar-to-bar racing action on high-spec single-cylinder and twin-cylinder racebikes.

The competitors. The flat-track racing community is a fun-loving group with a lot of interesting characters who know how to go fast and have fun.
Because flat-track racing is easy to watch, there’s a great seat everywhere in the house, and the racing is really intense.
