Time Machine MC M.C.

When Motorcyclist Editor-in-Chief Brian Catterson learned that Cobra Engineering would be displaying many of the customs it has created over the past 20 years at last February's Indianapolis Dealer Show, he got a little nostalgic. After all, he'd written stories about a number of them and even ridden a few. But when head honcho Ken Boyko pulled the cover off of what he said was Cobra custom #1, Cat got real nostalgic: The bike was no less than his first motorcycle, a Honda CR125 Elsinore! This one was actually built by Cobra owner Tim McCool (then working under the T&M banner) for racer Bruce McDougal. Cat remembers seeing photos of the #87 bike in magazines as a kid, but because they were black-and-white, he had no idea the bike was orange! Said machine now resides in Boyko's office. If it goes missing one day, we know where to start looking…
