Suzuki Motor USA has brought the count of its family of 800-level V-Stroms to four with the announcement of the 2024 V-Strom 800 Touring. This street-going adventure bike is available now and will start at $10,499.
The brand made headlines in late 2022 when it debuted its first two upper-midsize V-Stroms, both powered by a new 776cc parallel-twin engine that serves as the beating heart of the Touring model. The mill itself made news as well, with designers commenting at the time that the platform would provide a wide range of design flexibility thanks to its compact build. For example, it’s now powering both the GSX-8R (read/watch our reviews of this model during the Top 5 Features of Suzuki’s GSX-8R for Trackday Riders, This Is What You Need To Know about Suzuki’s GSX-8R, Top 5 Things We Like About Suzuki’s GSX-8R for Street Riders, and 2024 Suzuki GSX-8R Review With Videos) and GSX-8S in addition to the four 800-level V-Strom models.
As for the Touring model in particular, as its name suggests the bike is ready for the long-haul with exclusively created Dunlop D614 tires, 19 inches in front and 17 inches at the rear. It also comes with a 35-liter top case, standard. The bike utilizes a bidirectional quickshifter, ride-by-wire throttle, and Suzuki’s Intelligent Ride System. A modern 5-inch TFT instrument panel and LED lighting are all part of the base Touring package as well.
The bike makes use of a Showa SFF-BP fork with spring preload adjustability and a Showa shock that has both preload and rebound damping adjustment. It comes with Nissin braking kit front and rear along with selectable ABS that features two levels of sensitivity. Fuel capacity is 5.3 gallons.
The V-Strom 800 Touring can also be outfitted for even more adventure thanks to Suzuki’s catalog of accessories which include side cases, bike protection, fog lamps, a centerstand, low- and high-profile seats, heated grips, and more. The 2024 version will come in Glass Sparkle Black color.
