Scorpion's New Flagship Helmet: The EXO-R2000

The Scorpion Sports guys stopped by the MC office this morning to give us a first look at their new-for-2013 flagship helmet, the EXO-R2000, a MotoGP-level lid featuring a lightweight composite shell constructed from five layers of specially formulated fiberglass, aramid and organic poly-resin fibers. The EXO-R2000's innovative Ellip-Tec ratchet system pulls the shield back during closure for a tighter seal against the gasket while 6 intake ports across the front of the helmet and 10 exit vents provide airflow. Fit around the cheeks can be customized with an inflatable system that also allows a trained tech to release the pads in the event of an emergency. With a price point starting at $369.95 for solid colors, the EXO-R2000 meets Snell, DOT and M2010 standards and is available in sizes S-XXL.
