Porter, TX (July 17, 2012) – Summer means prime riding time for many motorcycle enthusiasts throughout the [country. With this increase in the number of miles ridden, maintenance becomes a bigger factor in the general upkeep of your motorcycle. Whether travelling on-road or off, riding a two stroke or a four-stroke, high performance synthetic lubricant manufacturer, Royal Purple, has developed a number of specially formulated synthetic engine oils, lubricants and coolant additives that will keep your motorcycle performing its best.
Max-Cycle®
Royal Purple's Max-Cycle® engine oil is designed for use in highly stressed and highly revved four-stroke engines and is even compatible with wet-clutch transmissions.
Using the company’s proprietary Synerlec® additive technology, Max-Cycle helps reduce engine temperatures and [decreases wear when compared to the leading synthetic and mineral-based oils. One example, seen below, shows the dramatic reduction in wear between cam chain tensioners when Royal Purple’s Max-Cycle is used in place of manufacturer’s conventional or synthetic oils.

The improved combustion and reduced friction that comes as a result of using Max-Cycle also helps to prevent your motorcycle from overheating. Independent tests conducted on an American-made V-Twin motorcycle showed engine temperatures were reduced 25 to 44 degrees Fahrenheit just by switching to Royal Purple’s Max-Cycle. HP 2-C
For two-stroke motorcycle engines, Royal Purple developed HP 2-C. The company's two-stroke engine oil helps keep spark plugs and exhaust ports clean, resulting in increased horsepower and engine speed, by utilizing a proprietary blend of synthetic solvents incorporated into the oil. In addition to performing excellent in motorcycles, HP 2-C can also be used in a variety of other two-stroke applications including outboard motors, jet skis and chain saws.
Purple Ice®
Keeping your ride running cool can be a challenge on hot summer days when temperatures can run into the triple digits or when your bike is being ridden in 'spirited' fashion. In addition to switching to Max-Cycle engine oil, Royal Purple's popular coolant additive, Purple Ice, is a quick and convenient option to help lower engine temperatures.
As simple to use as pouring a prescribed amount of product into the coolant, Purple Ice is the most advanced product of its kind on the market for lowering engine temperatures and protecting against engine build-up. Purple Ice reduces the possibility of engine failure and premature detonation by helping to evenly distribute and remove heat from the engine and cylinder heads more effectively.
Purple Ice is so effective in fact, it outperformed all competitive products compared in American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM) certified coolant corrosion tests and temperature reduction dyno tests.
Max-Chain®
Applied via a quick-drying solvent-based aerosol can, Royal Purple's Max-Chain® is a high-performance chain lubricant that works even in the most extreme environments helping to reduce chain wear and dramatically increase equipment life by providing protection against dust and corrosion.
Proven effective even at temperatures of as much as 400 degrees Fahrenheit, Max-Chain’s dry, wax-like film leaves a non-tacky coating that’s proven to reduce the build-up of abrasive dust and other airborne contaminants in the chain. In fact, Max-Chain performed so well it garnered an average 8.9 out of 10 rating on effectiveness and the seal of approval of the Motorcycle Riders Club of America.
With the help of a little know-how and some DIY time, you can provide your motorcycle with the superior protection it deserves by using Royal Purple on your bike.
