[Irvine, Calif. – (January 12, 2012) -- Racing fans can be a part of the supercross action all season long with the Monster Energy Kawasaki Supercross Challenge. The exciting challenge runs through the Monster Energy AMA Supercross season finale in Las Vegas on May 5 and includes a sweepstakes that will send one lucky winner and a guest to Las Vegas for the 2012 Monster Energy Cup in October.
“The Monster Energy Kawasaki Supercross Challenge gives fans a chance to get behind our team each weekend,” said Kawasaki Marketing Director Chris Brull. “The 2012 supercross season will be one of the best ever and by playing along each week, supercross fans get to be a part of what we hope is another championship season.”
Each week fans can enter the challenge at to predict how many Kawasaki KX450Fs will finish in the top 10 in the supercross class as well as how many Kawasaki KX250Fs will finish in the top 3 in the supercross lites class. Next they will choose the finishing position for select Monster Energy Kawasaki and Monster Energy/Pro Circuit/Kawasaki riders.
If a fan answers either of the first two questions correctly, they will receive a coupon for a free Monster Energy drink and if they correctly predict the finishing position of either rider in the second set of questions, they will receive an entry into the sweepstakes. Each contestant will also receive points that will accumulate for the season ending contest that will award prizes to the top 50 in points.
The contestant with the most points at the end of the supercross season will receive a Monster Energy Riders Pack which includes a signed Ryan Villopoto jersey, $250 off of the purchase of a Kawasaki KX450F or KX250F, a Monster Energy backpack and 10 additional entries in the grand prize sweepstakes.
Fans will also compete for 51 additional prizes including signed Villopoto jerseys and Monster Energy backpacks. The prizes will be available to the top 50 contestants at the end of the supercross season and the contest is open to fans in the United States and the District of Columbia age 13 and over and the official rules can be found at .
