American Honda keeps the nostalgia and miniMOTO madness alive with its 2024 Trail 125, returning to the lineup unchanged apart from a new Turmeric Yellow color. It will carry a $100 more expensive price tag than last year’s model however, starting at $4,099.
The Trail 125 paid homage to the dual sport-style Trails of past decades when it debuted in 2021, and Honda decided to give the platform a notable refresh just a few years later with an enhanced engine for 2023.
In addition to the retro aesthetic, the Trail 125′s ease of use is also a hugely attractive factor. The bike utilizes a four-speed automatic transmission, comes equipped with a convenient cargo rack, is built with ABS standard, and is capable of riding both on and off the pavement. It’s simply built and carries its 256 pounds low to the ground, making it easy to maintain and effortless to handle.
We gave the renewed platform a thorough test a few years back, and found that the Trail 125 provides a “raw and simple” ride experience that finds an admirable balance between old and new. It was surprisingly adept on many different ride surfaces despite the simplicity of its suspension setup and overall a whole lot of fun.
