Honda returns its Shadow Phantom cruiser to the lineup for 2025, carrying over the aesthetic updates debuted on last year’s model. It will be priced at $8,699, a $300 increase over the 2024 edition.
Even with the cost adjustment, the Shadow Phantom remains a heck of a deal. We took one for a spin last year and found it to be a thoroughly solid bike. The 745cc V-twin performed admirably both in and out of town. We found the platform to be easy-handling, with predictable power delivery, up-to-the-task braking kit, a nice feel at the clutch, and well-calibrated throttle. The exhaust system sounds phenomenal too, and the middleweight bobber styling was pleasing to the eye.
Additionally, the bike is simply well-made. Our tester last year observed that the Shadow Phantom “is manufactured in Kumamoto, Japan, where Honda builds its Gold Wings and other top-of-the-line bikes that cost well over $25,000.”
Some additional features of interest include a five-speed transmission that delivers power to the rear wheel via a low-maintenance shaft final drive. It has dual rear shocks with five-position spring preload adjustability, a low 25.6-inch seat height, and plenty of styling touches such as blacked-out and matte finishes, minimal fenders, fork boot covers, and of course, the retro paintwork on the tank.
Riders won’t have to wait long to get their hands on the latest Shadow Phantom either, as the bike is slated to arrive in dealerships starting this November.
