Over the past 20 years, Maui based conceptual artist Bene' Michelle Cambra has been creating works of motorcycle-themed functional art pieces, most of which are patented or have patents pending on the unique features. Her earlier prototype furniture pieces have been featured in museums including Sturgis, the National Motorcycle Museum and the Barber Vintage Motorsports Museum.
Hawaiian artist Bene' Michelle Cambra with "Black Karma"
Bene' is currently in the process of creating one-of-a-kind functional performance sculptures for a line called Motoration Maui. Black Karma and Hot Lava are her first two sculptures completed to date with several themes in the works. Both integrate sound and music with LED lighting created by Jeff Bundy Artistry Lighting. Bene' says, "My sculptures are functional works of art to be enjoyed indoors by people who also love motorcycles." For more information about Bene's work or to commission a custom design by her, go to the Motoration Maui website.
The functional tattoo-themed “Ink Me” is for tattoo artists with an appreciation for bike-style seating and custom tool storage.
