You may have already read that Harley kicked off the new model year by way of announcing several returning models. Most recently we told you about the 2025 Road Glide, which is back in the Grand American Touring lineup unchanged, and the same holds true for its cousin, the 2025 Harley-Davidson Street Glide, which also comes back to the Touring line with zero mechanical changes. As both bikes got a major redesign last year, with similar upgrades to styling, suspension, electronics, and a new powerplant, it makes sense that the latest Street Glide sees no appreciable tweaks for the new year, save the addition of a couple of new colors and a price increase.
Editor’s note: we tested its sibling and fixed-forward fairing Road Glide iteration during the What You Need to Know about Harley-Davidson’s Road Glide, Top 5 Reasons We Like Harley-Davidson’s 2024 Road Glide and 2024 Harley-Davidson Road Glide Reviews With Videos articles/videos.
To recap some of the Street Glide’s bigger updates from 2024, the bike now gets its thrust from the meatier Milwaukee-Eight 117 powerplant, which comes with liquid-cooled cylinder heads and new cooling system and is rated for a claimed 105 hp and 130 lb.-ft. of torque. You’ll also find that conventional 49mm Showa fork (rocking Dual Bending Valve internals) upfront with adjustable dual rear emulsion shocks which now offer 3 inches of travel, a slight improvement on the previous bike. The braking arrangement consists of a pair of four-piston brake calipers and 320mm floating rotors upfront, with a single-piston rear caliper mated to a fixed 300mm disc. Electronically linked brakes manage front-to-rear application and ABS as needed, with traction control and drag torque-slip control also coming as standard equipment.
Then there’s the Street Glide’s reshaped batwing, which last year was redesigned for better airflow while also giving space to a new integrated LED lit signature, and both arrangements are back for 2025 unchanged. The one-piece seat—which is slightly lower than the Road Glide’s—has also been tweaked to deliver better comfort over the long haul.
For convenience and safety, you also get a killer 12.3-inch TFT touchscreen from which you control navigation, infotainment, the upgraded 200-watt audio system, and a full array of rider aids, including three selectable preset ride modes, tire pressure monitoring and traction control.
It’s worth noting that the 2025 Street Glide, while packing the same 6-gallon fuel tank and 2.42 cubic foot luggage capacity in its two saddlebags, weighs a bit less than its Road Glide relative, coming in at 811 pounds (claimed, wet), compared to 838 pounds for the Roadie. The 2025 Street Glide also gets new color options, with a total of nine hues on tap including the three Factory Custom paint schemes you’ll have to order through an authorized Harley-Davidson dealer (at an extra cost). Speaking of price, MSRP for 2025 goes up to $27,749.
