The hills are alive with the sound of Huskies. The hills of Austria, that is, where the first Husqvarnas rolled off the assembly line of the upgraded Mattighofen production site on October 7.
Husqvarna was recently acquired by KTM AG, and the members of the board of KTM were on hand to follow the progress of the first Husky completed in the new facility. (That’s them in picture, getting ready to draw lots to see who gets the first test ride.)
According to KTM CEO Stefan Pierer, “By the acquisition of the brand Husqvarna, the KTM Group expects an additional growth of approximately 15,000 motorcycles in the next few years.” On the first production day, approximately 75 units of the new four-stroke model range were assembled.
