add yet another milestone statistic to the Austrian manufacturer’s record books. Dungey won both motos in Rd. 3 at the Thunder Valley MX Park in Colorado.

Ken Roczen continued his podium run in the 250 class finishing third with a 2-4 result while teammate Marvin Musquin was fifth with a 5-5 result. JDR J-Star KTM rider Malcolm Stewart was sixth to wind up a good race for KTM. It is Dungey's second milestone for KTM. He earned the company its first Supercross victory at the Phoenix Supercross earlier this season.

Dungey jumped off the line to a sixth place start in the opening moto then quickly moved to fourth in the first lap before slipping past Jake Weimer into third in lap 2. He then caught James Stewart and both made a pass on Tommy Hahn to take over 1-2. A few corners later, Stewart went down giving Dungey the lead and he went on to win by 22 seconds. The KTM rider then nailed the holeshot in the second moto to lead every lap right to the flag. Dungey now assumed the lead in the overall standings

Ryan Dungey: "I'm really happy to give Red Bull/KTM its first overall 450 Motocross win in the US. It's great to be a part of something that's full of firsts. Everyone on the team works really hard and we receive tons of support from KTM worldwide. We are heading to High Point Raceway next week. I've always liked that track and I'mlooking forward to another good race."

Roczen takes another 250 podium
Dungey's teammates Ken Roczen and Marvin Musquin also delivered strong results in the 250 class with the German

teenager picking up his third podium in three weeks after a 2-4 moto result. Both KTM riders had great starts in the opening race with Roczen in second and Musquin in fourth at the first corner. Roczen immediately placed himself within striking distance of the lead rider, Justin Barcia and stuck within a few bike lengths for the first half of the moto before he closed the gap and began challenging for the lead. With only a few laps remaining, Roczen went down trying to make a pass on Barcia, lost a few seconds and then couldn’t catch the leader. His French teammate Musquin put together a solid ride to finish fifth.

In the second moto Roczen was second and Musquin fifth going into the first corner. Both riders advanced one position in the first laps before Roczen locked into second behind Barcia until lap six when Baggett began to put heavy pressure on the KTM rider. Baggett overtook Roczen to pick up the position but Roczen increased his lap time to close back on Barcia. He made the pass on Barcia for second on the tenth lap but crashed looking for a clean line around back markers, lost two positions and had to settle for fourth. Musquin maintained his fifth to the flag.

“Its great to be on the podium for the third week straight,” remarked Roczen. “I feel like I rode really well this weekend.

[Strong 5-5 for overall 5th for Musquin

I had some good battles in the first moto and was able to keep pace with Barcia right through the race. I battled it out with Barcia and Baggett in the second moto and I was in second when I got caught up in lappers on the final lap and went down. Barcia got by me and I finished third in the race for third overall. It was definitely frustrating going down on the last lap after two good races.”

Despite his disappointment Roczen said he was happy with his riding and said his KTM 250 bike worked perfectly. “It’s especially good to be able to put KTM on the podium in the 250s after Ryan Dungey put us on top in the 450s,” he said.
