The Ducati Desmo450 MX will arrive shortly here in the States! The Panigale manufacturer has announced the production spec of the motorcycle, along with rough expectations of when they will be available for purchase.

Ducati, a brand known for its high-performance motorcycles, has officially entered the motocross world with the debut of the Desmo450 MX. Unveiled in early 2024, this is Ducati’s first-ever dirt bike, marking a bold expansion into the off-road segment and drawing attention for its innovative engineering and high-tech features.

At the core of the Desmo450 MX lies a 449.6cc single-cylinder engine. The engine is powered by Ducati’s famous desmodromic valve system, a technology traditionally reserved for its MotoGP and World Superbike machines. The wheels, 21-inch front and 19-inch rear, are fitted with Pirelli MX32 tires, known for their superior grip in various dirt conditions.

Cairoli, one of motocross’s greatest riders, had this to say after his first race on the Desmo450 MX: “The bike is fast, responsive, and comfortable. The stability on jumps is impressive, and the suspension is finely tuned for those big landings. There’s a lot of potential here.”

This competitive debut isn’t just about showcasing the bike but also about Ducati’s commitment to the sport. “We’re just at the beginning,” says Lupino. “As we continue to race and refine the bike, I believe the Desmo450 MX can challenge for top positions in global competitions.”

For those eager to experience Ducati’s entry into the motocross world, the Desmo450 MX will be available in North America in July 2025. The bike is expected to carry a price tag of $11,495—a premium price point that reflects Ducati’s commitment to high-end performance and cutting-edge technology.
