In three short years, the Brammo Empulse RR has gone from winning in all-electric racing, to competing against 750cc gas bikes, to now besting tried and true race platforms on their home turf. Team Icon Brammo reached another milestone recently at Miller Motorsports Park where with Shane Turpin took top podium honors in the American Historic Racing Motorcycle Association (see AHRMA ) Sound of Thunder race on the Brammo Empulse RR against its twin-cylinder rivals.
Additionally, Eric Bostrom took the top spot in the eSuperbike race on a near-production Empulse R against three privateer Brammos and a Buell. The Brammo Empulse R continues to be adapted by the racing community for both its race day capability, ease of use, and segment punching performance.
Icon Motorsports continues their collaboration with Brammo Motorcycles along with their sponsorship of Eric Bostrom and Shane Turpin. For 2014, Icon crafted a new race livery named Elemental that reflects both Shane and Eric’s riding styles, and celebrates the violence that nature can dole out. Additionally, this livery also graces the new Airmada Elemental helmet.
Coinciding with the new look for the 2014 season, Icon also created this video of the Empulse RRs on the twisting blacktop of the Pacific Northwest.
