BMW HP4 In The House

The Latest Episode of On Two Wheels Reveals The New HP4 In All Its Glory

For a couple of weeks now I've seen one of BMW's new HP4 superbikes parked in the Motorcyclist parking lot. It's striking, it's beautiful, and it looks like it means business. The HP4 is currently the responsibility of Sport Rider's Kent Kunitsugu, who informed me that the bike is actually privately owned. Only a few hundred of these Bavarian beauties are coming stateside, and, according to BMW, there are buyers for every one of them. That makes this testbike especially precious.

For those who don’t know, the HP4 is the up-spec version of the standard S1000RR, which even in base trim is one of the most fantastic sportbikes on the planet. The HP4 steps up the S1000RR’s performance with BMW’s Dynamic Damping Control suspension package, upgraded ABS and TC systems, a lightweight Akrapovic exhaust, and a healthy helping of carbon fiber.

Faster, lighter, more powerful, more technologically advanced, and oh so sexy, the HP4 is the most exclusive sportbike we've seen since Ducati's Desmosedici. Does it live up to the hype? Watch the latest episode of On Two Wheels to find out. Kento and the video guys took full advantage of the photo studio to bring us eye-watering scenes that show the HP4 in all its glory. It's pure bike porn–enjoy!
