The new V3 features a tough, 210D Dense Interlink Mesh (DIM) exterior that passes air freely, yet this dense, overlocking weave pattern provides extraordinary durability and abrasion resistance. Riding in summertime doesn't excuse you from rain showers, so the Direct Air V3 incorporates an all-new zip-out removable REISSA waterproof liner that also effectively blocks out wind. REISSA is a lightweight, breathable material that keeps water out while allowing warm, moist air to escape from within the jacket. That adds up to loads of versatility: You can be cool in the sun, warm as the evening temps drop, and dry in the rain.

There’s also a host of other motorcycling-oriented details that make the Direct Air V3 especially effective out on the open road. Some more notable features include: the neck has been lowered 1 cm for a more comfortable fit; a handy wrist pocket allows for quick access to small items; a new, larger cell phone pocket accepts the newer, oversized phones; there’s a pass-through port for the cord of a heated vest; and the V3 is ready to accept a Pilot CORE Chest Protector thanks to a strip of female Velcro sewn to the inner wind flap of the jacket.
