Hundreds of fans and industry personalities gathered at the Motorcycle Hall of Fame Museum on Thursday, July 26, as Malcolm Smith and Jeremy McGrath signed autographs and received tributes.
Jeremy McGrath unveiled a bronze sculpture of his signature Nac Nac move. The sculpture, crafted by artist Steve Posson, was commissioned by Live Nation to commemorate McGrath's legendary Supercross career and will reside in the Motorcycle Hall of Fame Museum's permanent collection.
Off-road legend extraordinaire Malcolm Smith cut the ribbon on the all-new "Malcolm!" exhibit, presented by Tucker Rocky Distributors. This retrospective and celebration of Smith's illustrious achievements will be on display through July 2008. During the ribbon cutting presentation, Smith and friends, including dirt-track legend Mert Lawwill and On Any Sunday producer Bruce Brown, entertained the crowd with tales from Smith's colorful career.
If you did not have the opportunity to visit the museum for July's events, mark your calendars now for Hall of Fame Weekend, October 5-6, 2007. The event will feature the Motorcycle Hall of Fame Induction and the Museum's Concours d'Elegance, which drew over 100 juried entries last year. All weekend celebrations are open to the public, with advanced reservations required for specific activities.
