Motorcycle Alarms and Theft Prevention

Passive security devices like disc locks and chains help keep your motorcycle from being stolen, but they can’t tell you when someone is tampering with it. You need that information if you’re going to catch thieves in the act––or better yet, before it––and scare them off before they have time to defeat your lock. Harley-Davidson Smart Security Systems
Harley makes model-specific Smart Security Systems for most late-model bikes. They include a hands-free fob that communicates with the security module on its own unique frequency. A flashing status indicator tells you if the alarm is on or off, and the system self-arms five seconds after you turn off the engine, disabling the starter, ignition, and fuel injection. Scorpio SR-I900
The SR-I900 alarm has RFID technology that knows when the remote is in range so you never have to reach for it to protect the bike. A built-in transceiver receives alarm triggers for up to a half-mile away from the bike, and an accelerometer senses impacts and changes of angle.
