Michael Jordan Jumps Into MCBA '06 WithTeam Race Bikes & Their Street Legal Twins
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
June 23, 2006 - Michael Jordan Motorsports has substantiallysweetened the pot of available machinery for this year's MontereyClassic Bike Auction with the addition of two Superstock racebikes and their newly built street-legal duplicates.
Both specimens are SuzukiGSX-R1000s, one ridden byJason Pridmore in '05 and theother by Steve Rapp in this year's AMA Superstock Series.
Except for the addition of lights and mirrors, the street versionsare their identical twins. While both bikes are outfitted withall the best that Ohlins, Yoshimura and Vortex have to offer, they are distinctly different from one another graphically.
Pridmore's red and yellow'05 screams speed butalso features fine detailschronicling Jordan's 20 years as a Nike-sponsored superstar. The graphics on that bike "include over 200 icons that aremeaningful to me and represent important events or peoplewho have motivated me throughout my life," says Jordan. On the other hand, the 2006 model that Rapp has piloted toan overall seventh place so far this season is a dazzling goldmachine that virtually glows where it stands and already says"collectible".
Details and photos of these and the dozens of other machines available for bid this year areonline at www.montereyclassicbikeauction.com, as are registration forms for buyers and sellers.
The second annual Monterey Classic Bike Auction takes place July 20-22 at the Portola PlazaHotel in Monterey during MotoGP week at Laguna Seca.
