KTM calls it an alternative to its popular gas-powered 50cc two-stroke dirt bike. But much like the 50 SX, the KTM SX-E 5 is not a toy—it is a potent motocross machine designed for competitive young racers. But the electric powerplant allows for six different ride modes, along with hidden parental controls below the seat, which means it can accommodate beginner riders as well as experienced little rippers.
The SX-E 5 is injected with its share of updates for 2025, including a reworked chassis, water-cooling, and 30% more riding time. As a single-speed with no clutch, the only thing SX-E 5 riders need to worry about is stop and go. Disc brakes handle the stopping, and true to KTM form, fully adjustable WP Xact components handle suspension. Adjustable seat height can be varied by 25mm (1 inch), and the suspension position can be lowered for an additional 25mm drop for a wide range of versatility for riders of many sizes.
