One of the great things about adventure bikes is their versatility. But that doesn’t mean you can’t get a bike like that at the lower end of the displacement spectrum. KTM’s 390 Adventure is not only accessible to newer riders and experienced riders alike, but it is fully capable of tackling all sorts of terrain.
The 373cc liquid-cooled LC4c engine features electronic fuel injection with ride-by-wire control. It makes a claimed 43 hp giving it plenty of power for highway riding or hill climbing off-road. A large 3.8-gallon fuel tank provides a claimed 248-mile range.
The 390 Adventure comes standard with Offroad mode, which not only optimizes the power for off-highway riding, but also activates the Offroad ABS mode, allowing you to lock the rear wheel for more control on loose surfaces. On road, the 390 benefits from cornering ABS.
A steel-trellis frame houses updated suspension including a 43mm WP Apex fork and Apex shock, the latter of which has provisions for spring preload and rebound damping adjustability. Spoked wheels in 19-inch front and 17-inch rear accommodates a large selection of rubber.
