2025 Indian Sport Scout

Wheels and styling sets it apart from the other Scouts in the series.

Like the other bikes in Indian’s 2025 Scout lineup, the Sport Scout gets a new frame and engine, and added electronics, though it is also a new nameplate for the series this year.Indian Motorcycle

Overview

Indian’s revamped Scout series for 2025 features five models, all boasting a fresh design with an all-new 1,250cc SpeedPlus engine and a redesigned steel tube frame, but a couple of them diverge from there in terms of styling, geometry, and ergonomics. One of those is the replacement for the outgoing Scout Rogue, now called the Sport Scout. Like the Rogue, the Sport Scout wears a mini-fairing upfront and other bodywork inspired by the West Coast scene, with telltale 6-inch moto-style handlebar risers and handlebars connected to machined triple clamps. Other key differences include a taller, sculpted solo seat and, most notably, a larger, 19-inch front wheel, both of which enable sportier handling.

In Standard trim, the 2025 Sport Scout is equipped with LED lighting, ABS, and an analog gauge. Upgrading to the Limited (foreground) or Limited +Tech trim gets you more tech and other features.Indian Motorcycle

That larger eight-spoke cast wheel is mainly what separates the Sport from the other Scouts, since it still runs with the SpeedPlus 1250 engine (good for a claimed 105 hp), hung from a redesigned steel tube frame, and is fitted with a 41mm fork with 4.7 inches of travel and dual preload-adjustable shocks with 3.0 inches of travel. Along with that big front hoop come different tires too, with Indian spec’ing Metzeler Cruisetecs in a 130/60B-19 61H size for the front and 150/80B-16 72H rubber out back. (All the other Scouts, save for the 101, roll with various Pirelli tires.) The Sport also has single 298mm brake discs front and rear.

As with the other Scouts, the Sport is powered by the liquid-cooled 1,250cc SpeedPlus engine, which Indian says makes a claimed 105 hp. A quarter fairing and handlebars mounted on 6-inch risers instantly distinguish this bike from the others.Indian Motorcycle

As on the other Scout models, you can choose from three trim options: the Standard trim, with ABS, LED lighting, and an analog gauge; Limited trim, which adds traction control, cruise control, and three selectable ride modes along with four color options; and Limited +Tech trim, adding a 4-inch touchscreen display with navigation and keyless ignition to the above.

Indian says the Sport’s 19-inch wheel, taller bars, and sport seat make for more controlled and—ahem—“sportier” rides.Indian Motorcycle

Pricing and Variants

At the most basic level, the Standard Sport Scout starts at $13,499 and is available only in Black Metallic. Opt for the higher-spec Limited trim, and the MSRP goes up to $14,199, but you’ll get more color choices, including Black Metallic, Black Smoke, Storm Blue, and Nara Bronze Metallic. Choose the nicely equipped Sport Scout with Limited +Tech package and the price lists at $15,199 with the same available colors (Black Metallic, Black Smoke, Storm Blue, or Nara Bronze Metallic). Indian also offers four Collections accessory kits if you’re looking for even more personalization.

The Sport Scout also rolls with a blacked-out powertrain, chopped fenders, and exposed dual shocks that are adjustable only for spring preload.Indian Motorcycle
