2024 Indian FTR, Sport, R Carbon & 100% R Carbon

No changes to the ripping, 120 hp street tracker; new trims amp up the visuals.

Overview

With its rowdy 120 hp, liquid-cooled engine and dynamic riding qualities, Indian’s FTR 1200 street tracker was a nearly universally praised addition to the brand’s 2019 lineup. Indian has since evolved the bike into a more practical, yet no less ripping machine, with revisions to the wheels, suspension, and engine maps, but for 2024 we simply see those updates carried over to all three of the models available this year. The FTR family also expands with the addition of two new trims—the FTR x 100% R Carbon and the FTR x RSD Super Hooligan—but both are limited-edition brand collaborations based on the FTR R Carbon rather than true stand-alone models. There is no Rally model for 2024.

The Sport model differs from the base with the addition of a chin fairing and rear cowl, as well as the 4-inch TFT display powered by Ride Command and additional electronics like lean-sensitive ABS, traction control, and more. Both bikes share upside-down Sachs fork and four-piston Brembos.Indian Motorcycle

As before, the Sport model wears a chin fairing and rear cowl along with different graphics to distinguish it from the base model, but adds a 4.7-inch color TFT touchscreen display and IMU-powered traction and wheelie control as well as lean-sensitive ABS. The Carbon R model gooses the spec sheet even further with the addition of adjustable Öhlins suspension front and rear, and wears some carbon fiber bodywork, but otherwise, all the FTRs run the same 1,203cc liquid-cooled engine, 17-inch cast aluminum wheels, 25.3-degree rake, and 31.7-inch seat height.

The FTR R Carbon carries the same TFT touchscreen, Akrapovič exhaust, ride modes, and IMU-enabled ABS, stability control, and wheelie control, but also swaps in adjustable Ӧhlins suspension for the Sachs units and adds carbon fiber bodywork.Indian Motorcycle

Pricing and Variants

The FTR comes in three variations: the base FTR ($13,499), the FTR Sport ($15,749), the FTR R Carbon ($17,249). The base and Sport models both have a fully adjustable Sachs suspension setup, but the Sport upgrades to a Bluetooth-compatible TFT dash, Akrapovič exhaust, ride modes, lean-angle-sensitive ABS, traction control, stability control, and wheelie control. The R Carbon carries over the same electronics as the Sport, but swaps in premium Ӧhlins suspension and carbon fiber bodywork.

There is no FTR Rally model for 2024, but the FTR x 100% R Carbon ($18,999) and FTR x RSD Super Hooligan ($18,499) trims are new this year. Both are based on the R Carbon model, with the same mechanical underpinnings, but offer different premium finishes, paint, and other up-spec or one-off accessories.

The FTR x 100% R Carbon model rolls with a powdercoated frame and one-off Blue Candy carbon fiber body parts set off by a flurry of red accents and logos, but otherwise has the same underpinnings as the R Carbon.Indian Motorcycle
Indian Red frame and special Black Metallic bodywork with the No. 1 plate and sponsor Roland Sand logos identify the FTR x RSD model, which is also based on the R Carbon bike. As on the R Carbon trim, dual disc Brembo brakes and fully adjustable Öhlins USD fork and rear shock are included.Indian Motorcycle
On the Sport, R Carbon, and limited-edition trims, Indian’s Ride Command system powers the 4-inch touchscreen display. The R Carbon, 100%, and RSD bikes also sport three ride modes, lean-angle-sensitive ABS, stability control, wheelie and rear lift mitigation, a USB port, and cruise control.Indian Motorcycle
