HJC introduces a new entry-level helmet with the F70.

Solid color options of the F70 will start at $269.99.HJC

HJC has introduced a new helmet to its lineup, the first of its new "finest" line. The F70 is a budget-friendly, entry-level lid that complies with both DOT and ECE safety standards starting at $269.99 for a solid color option. Sizes range from XS through 2XL and a number of graphics options are also available.

The fiberglass outer shell has been shaped to optimize aerodynamic performance while riding, and to optimize airflow through the two top vents and chin vent intakes. Five exhaust ports will pull air through the lid so you can stay nice and cool when temperatures rise.

The large outer shield protects from UV rays and is designed to give riders a wide field of view, while an antifog-coated drop-down sun shield inside will come in handy on sunny days. It’s deployed via a lever on the bottom of the outer shell.

It will also be Bluetooth compatible with the Smart HJC system (which is sold separately).

There are also a number of HJ-32 shield upgrades available from HJC, so riders who prefer a bit more tint are in luck. And swapping shields is intended to be as simple as possible utilizing HJC’s visor quick-release system. Replacement cheek pads and headliners are also available.

The interior of the F70 has cutouts for riders who wear glasses, and speaker cutouts for communicators. It comes with a double-D-ring closure system, and a removable and washable interior.

HJC has had some popular entries in the entry-level segment for a number of years, but has also been upping the game recently with improvements to its premium RHPA line. It will be interesting to see how the new F (for finest, get it?) line differentiates itself going forward.
